Three tiers of sports mascot plush — different specs, different prices
Sports-team mascot plush splits into three retail tiers, each with different production specs:
- Game-day giveaway tier (15cm) — distributed at stadium gates, optimised for cost ($3-4/unit at 10,000+ pcs). Embroidered logo on chest, polybag + hang tag, simplified mascot silhouette to keep embroidery time low.
- Retail standard tier (25cm) — sold at team store + secondary retail (Fanatics, Lids). $5-8/unit at 2,000 pcs. Multi-colour embroidery, hang-tag with team brand mark, polybag with retail barcode.
- Hero retail tier (35-50cm) — flagship store display + premium gift. $10-25/unit at 500 pcs. Full character detail, custom packaging, often signed by mascot performer for charity-auction tier.
Playoff merchandise drops — the 8-12 day reorder
When a team makes a deep playoff run, the merchandise drop has the most time-sensitive window in pro sports. We reserve a dedicated cutting + sewing + stuffing line for sports clients during their season, so a sudden "we need 10,000 plush in 14 days" request hits warm production capacity rather than competing with other clients for the line.
Reorder math for an existing-pattern SKU: 10,000 pcs / 5,000 stuffing per day = 2 days stuffing once cutting/sewing pipeline fills. Total reorder from PO to AWB-on-aircraft: 8-12 days. Sea freight too slow for playoffs; standardise on air freight for these drops.
